Admission Procedure

The completed application form for admission to B.Ed. & M.Ed. courses shall be sent to the principal. After proper screening and evaluation of marks, the candidates are provisionally selected for admission. The following original certificates with 3 sets of xerox copies should be produced by the candidates at the time of admission. Incomplete applications will summarily be rejected.

Student Services

For the effective nurturing, growth and development of the student trainees our college renders student services. This is of prime importance as it helps students to develop their personality, meet the needs, and excel in the dynamic global environment.

Career Counselling

Students are given consistent assistance and guidance to decide their career path. They need directives as regard to choose the schools during the campus interview to streamline and channelize their efforts towards securing a bright future.

Remedial Coaching

It helps students to learn good learning habits and attitudes. Course teachers arrange remedial coaching for slow learners in all the programmes. This extra coaching helps them to come out of the difficulties in learning and to fill the cognitive gaps and to cope with the challenges of higher education.

Coaching for TET/NET

The college arranges coaching for student teachers to crack the Teacher Eligibility Test and also offers coaching for M.Ed. students to break through National Eligibility Test.

Health care service

The college provides health care services to all students at any time during college hours. The sick room is equipped with a bed, first aid kit and medicines for primary treatment. Students who require immediate medical help are taken to the nearby hospital, which is in the next door.

Facilities

Vehicle Parking

Facility for parking the vehicles of the students, both two wheelers and four wheelers, is available in the campus itself. The rules and regulations of the inside the campus is strictly monitored by the student council members.

Common Room

The College maintains separate room for the rest and recreation among the students. The common room has attached washroom facilities, water purifier to provide drinking water, both hot and normal.

Recreational Room

The college provides good recreational / sports facilities such as aerobic and fitness room, sports room with indoor games. The students are allowed to utilise to improve their physical and mental health.

Labs

A well-equipped Computer lab, Biology lab, Physical Science lab, Psychology lab, Language lab and Art lab is provided to support the teaching and learning process

Library

College has a spacious, automised and digitalised library with large number of books and newly arrived journals and magazines is available to the students which forms the resource.

Safe Drinking Water

The institution provides RO purified water system in the campus with hot and normal water facility and it is available in all the floors.

Canteen

The clean and hygienic Canteen which provides fresh and mouth-watering food is available near the college within the campus.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Application forms are issued from the college office from the month of March on all working days. Application forms are also available on the college website.

The completed application forms must be submitted offline only.

Candidates with at least fifty percent mark either in the Bachelor’s degree and/or in the Master’s degree or any other qualification equivalent, thereto, are eligible for admission to the course. The reservation in seat relaxation in the qualifying marks in favor of the reserved categories shall be as per the rules of the state government.

B.Ed. is taught in both English and Tamil medium.

B.Ed programme is available for the subjects Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, Computer Science, Economics, Commerce and History

The college is located in Ramjee Nagar, Manikandam Road, Tiruchirappalli

The selected applicants will be called for interviews through phone calls/email/posts.

The working hours start at 10.00 a.m. and close at 4.00 p.m.

Candidates selected for admission should bring:

1. All Original Certificates (10th std,12th std, UG and PG Degree along with consolidated Mark Statements and Transfer certificate from last studied institution).

2. Online Community certificate

3. Aadhar Card Photocopy

4. Online Income Certificate

5. Bank Pass Book Photocopy

6. Migration Certificate (for students outside Tamil Nadu state )

7. Five passport-size photographs.

Students must submit TWO sets of photocopies of all certificates along with the Originals.
